‘Modern Family’ star Eric Stonestreet weds longtime partner
Modern Family star Eric Stonestreet and his longtime partner, Lindsay Schweitzer, are now husband and wife!
The American actor took to Instagram on his 54th birthday to share some photos from their intimate wedding, which was held in their home in Kansas City, Missouri.
"It’s my birthday and guess what I got," he captioned his post. In the photos, Stonestreet is donning a navy blazer with a blue tie. Meanwhile, Schweitzer was a glowing bride in her white satin dress.
Another photo showed the two during their first kiss as husband and wife, while the other one showed their first dance in front of musicians with acoustic guitars.
Fans and their friends expressed their congratulatory messages in the post's comments section.
"Of all second marriages, this one is my favorite! I love you both! I'm so happy for you!!!!" his Modern Family co-star Jesse Tyler commented.
"Congrats!!" American actress and comedian Elizabeth Banks wrote.
"So happy for you. Congratulations!" Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Joel Mckinnon Miller also commented.
The actor shared during his interview with PEOPLE Magazine in July that they plan to hold their wedding in their dream home.
"We got engaged and then all of a sudden got an opportunity to build a house, and I thought, no better way to start a relationship than literally building a foundation. So that's our plan and we're still on track for that," he told the outlet at the time.
Stonestreet confirmed his romance with Schweitzer in 2017. They got engaged in 2021.
He is known for his role as Cameron Tucker in the award-winning sitcom Modern Family. He also appeared in other films and series, including Identity Thief, The Loft, and Almost Famous, among others.
