This is what dreams are made of!

Hilary Duff is set to return to music for the first time in a decade.

The actress and pop singer announced on Tuesday, Sept. 9, that she has signed with Atlantic Records and is preparing new material. Her last album, Breathe In. Breathe Out. was released in 2015.

Alongside new music, Duff, 37, will headline a docuseries titled Because That’s What Dreams Are Made Of.

According to the announcement, the documentary will follow her “long-awaited musical return and personal journey.” It will be directed and executive-produced by Sam Wrench, who also worked on Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour.

The series will include stylized interviews, rehearsals, archival footage, and behind-the-scenes looks at balancing her career with family life.

On Instagram, Duff teased the new era with the caption: “new music … or something.” Photos showed her in a recording studio, including one with her husband, musician Matthew Koma.

The announcement follows a string of posts in which Duff hinted at revisiting her music career.

In June, she marked the 10th anniversary of Breathe In. Breathe Out., writing that while the album wasn't a hit, "there was still some work on the record that felt authentic."

In August, she reflected on the 22nd anniversary of her second album, Metamorphosis. “Yesterday marked the 22nd anniversary of Metamorphosis… Although these are distant memories for me, thank you for showing up the way that you did. To be continued…,” she wrote.

No release dates have been confirmed for the new music or the docuseries.
