South Korean artist F-IV, Jang Hae-young, passed away at the age of 45 on Oct. 6 after battling cancer.

F-IV co-member Kim Hyun-soo broke the news on social media, posting a photo of Jang Hae-young along with a heartfelt message announcing the singer’s passing.

"Goodbye. Let’s sing together again when we meet in heaven," he wrote in an Instagram post.

Jang debuted in 2002 as the main vocalist of the four-member boy band F-IV, which won Best New Artist at the KMTV Korean Music Awards the following year.

He continued to pursue a career as a solo artist and released singles such as “I’m Sorry That I’m Ugly” in 2009.

In 2016, F-IV reunited for JBTC’s variety program Two Yoo Project - Sugar Man, where they received attention for their enduring stage presence and vocal performance.

In the show, Jang Hae-young shared that he had worked as a freelance investment consultant while continuing his project group activities.
