Ruffa Gutierrez shares her dad Eddie Gutierrez is set to undergo first spinal procedure in Singapore
Ruffa Gutierrez has reached out to fans and loved ones for prayers as her father, Eddie Gutierrez, is set to undergo his first spinal procedure in Singapore.
On her Instagram account, the actress posted pictures of herself, her brother Raymond, and their mother Annabelle Rama accompanying Eddie, who is seen seated in a wheelchair.
"Please join us in prayer as our dad, Eddie Gutierrez, undergoes his first spinal procedure today in Singapore with Dr. Prem Pillay at the Neuro Spine & Pain Center, Mount Elizabeth Hospital," Ruffa wrote in the caption.
"We humbly ask for prayers for a successful procedure, steady hands for the doctors, and complete healing for our dad. May everything go smoothly and unfold according to His perfect will," she added.
She went on to express her gratitude to those who have been showering them with support through this difficult journey.
"Your prayers, generosity, and kindness mean more to us than words can express. We truly feel your love," she said. "To all the Filipino nurses who are helping us here and taking such good care of our dad—maraming salamat po. Mabuhay kayong lahat!"
"To everyone facing their own battles this season, may God grant you strength, peace, and His healing embrace. From our family to yours, you are not alone," she ended.
While the Gutierrez family has not specified what illness Eddie is facing, Ruffa previously opened up about her dad's condition as of late.
"Over the past few weeks, while Dad hasn’t been feeling well, I’ve watched how Mom poured all her time and energy into caring for him," she shared on Instagram.
She highlighted how seeing her parents' love and dedication for each other had made her realize how important family is.
"I’m grateful to still be able to spend quality time with them… and I’m speaking on behalf of my siblings, too. Family is everything," she said.
Eddie made his debut in showbiz in the 1955 film Batas ng Alipin before going on to have a prolific career as an actor. His last role was in the 2025 action drama series Incognito.
