Marian Izaguirre, a fashion influencer with more than 4.1 TikTok followers, has died at 23. On Aug. 29, she posted a haunting video of herself wearing clown makeup and lip-syncing a song about a lover leaving. Two days later, she disappeared; almost two weeks after, she was dead.

In her viral video, Izaguirre lip-synced to “Porque te vas” (Because you’re leaving) by Spanish singer Jeanette. She wore bright-colored clown makeup and a maroon pullover, and was shown in various locations. In one scene, tears fell from her eyes.

“All the promises of my love will go with you. Why are you leaving?” Izaquirre wrote in Spanish in the caption.

After posting the clip, her social media pages went dark. Three days later, her family reported her missing in Uruapan City, Mexico. What came next was a frenzied search, led by police and followed closely by her social media followers.

Local news outlet El Financiero reported that police found Izaguerra in ill health on Sept. 6 at a hotel in Morelia, where she had been staying for several days prior. While conducting their investigation, paramedics treated Izaguerra at the hotel and then took her to a hospital.

Days later, Izaguerra became brain-dead. El Financiero writes that her family authorized the donation of her organs, including her skin, skeletal muscle, corneas, and kidneys. Officials cited it was fatal health complications that led to Izaguerra’s death.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances of her disappearance.

Many of her friends and fans flocked to her TikTok page to mourn her death.

“In the short time I knew you, you were a wonderful girl, with a smile that never went away. You’re an angel, and you always were,” wrote content creator Marcelo Alcazar.

Born on Nov. 13, 2001, Izaguirre steadily rose to social media stardom in her late teens and eventually becoming a pop artist.

She later began creating fashion content on TikTok, where she now has 4.1 million followers.
