How much did Hulk Hogan leave behind after his death and who is its sole beneficiary?
Hulk Hogan’s wealth at the time of his death has been revealed—and it’s all going to just one person.
New court documents obtained by US Weekly showed that the late wrestling legend left behind almost $5 million, with his son Nick as its sole beneficiary.
Hulk’s daughter Brooke is not a part of his will.
In August, it was revealed that she asked to be taken off her father's will. She recalled telling Hulk's ex-best friend she got "scared" of the fighting that would come after her dad died, which prompted her to get out of the picture.
"I was sobbing," she said in a phone interview on the Bubba the Love Sponge podcast, adding that she had texted Hulk's assistant to have her name removed from his will. "I just said, take me off everything, I don’t want to be a part of it."
Brooke pointed out that she wanted to avoid conflict regarding finances with her mother, Linda Hogan, and Hulk's third wife, Sky Daily, whom he was married to until his death. She also shared that "money didn't matter" to her anymore after becoming pregnant with her twins, whom she gave birth to last January.
Hulk, born Terry Gene Bollea, died on July 24 at 71 years old. He was pronounced dead at a Florida hospital after emergency personnel responded to a cardiac arrest call at his home in Clearwater, police said.
He suffered numerous health problems, stemming from the years of abuse his body took in the ring. In the 1990s, he admitted under oath that he had used anabolic steroids at the peak of his career.
The professional wrestler helped propel the low-budget spectacle into the global spotlight and parlayed his prowess in the ring into pop culture stardom. He became known for his towering 6'7" (two-meter) physique, bandana, and blonde handlebar mustache.
Hogan's wrestling skills and magnetic personality as a heroic all-American in the ring transformed the sport into mainstream family entertainment, attracting millions of viewers and turning the league into a multi-billion-dollar empire. (with reports from AFP)
