Halloween just got darker and fiercer!

Celebrities and personalities showed up in their boldest and most creative costumes last Oct. 29 at The New Nocturnals party in Makati hosted by Raymond Gutierrez and Ashleigh Rye.

The Opulence Halloween Ball first debuted in 2019. In 2023, the duo challenged attendees to reinterpret myths, legends, and folklore through bold, modern looks. Last year, Mond and Ash Rye staged The Opulence Ball at The Peninsula Manila, showcasing celebrity looks inspired by the vibrant glamour of the 1970s.

Gutierrez shared, “For the past few years, The Opulence Ball has been all about glitz and glam. This year, we wanted to flip the script—go darker, edgier, fiercer.”

This year’s Halloween function features music by XI & ZID, SIMONETTI, SODI, and Sky Dominique and dance performances by Nunoy with Leyva, Raymond, Houie, and Stephanie.

Check out the stars who served both fear and fashion on the black carpet:

Ruffa Gutierrez channeled Morticia Addams from the hit series Wednesday, wearing an all-black gothic ensemble by Assisi Studio. Her sleek, pin-straight hair, striking features, and bold dark lip completed the look.

Andrea Brillantes

Andrea Brillantes turned heads as a fierce feline, wearing a glamorous black cat costume that made her win the NUSTAR Best Dressed Award. She elevated the look with a jeweled headpiece and a luxurious white fur boa.

Mika Salamanca

Pinoy Big Brother Collab Big Winner Mika Salamanca kept it classic with a chic twist on the witch costume, complete with a pointed hat and broom.

Barbie Imperial

Barbie Imperial is a sexy siren! Her captivating look featured a sheer gown by Job Dacon, adorned with tentacle and fin details, and prosthetics by Tawong-Lipod Creative Studio.

Shewarma

“The scariest costume of all,” Mond Gutierrez commented on Drag Den Season 1 cast Shewarma’s Instagram post with her costume as the controversial contractor Sarah Discaya.

Dressed in full corporate attire and carrying a briefcase labeled “Ghost Project,” her costume traded gore for satire.

Michelle Dee

Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee reimagined the Harley Quinn x Joker vibe with a striking twist, wearing a sharply structured Jan Garcia blazer, statement Inigo bottoms, and sky-high heels.

Mond Gutierrez

"The New Nocturnals" host Mond made a striking entrance in a custom Jaggy Glarino suit tailored to perfection with details that evoke anatomical muscle fiber.

Zeinab Harake Parks

Zeinab Harake Parks is drop-dead gorgeous in a long, sheer black floral dress featuring a heart-shaped cutout that reveals a stunning silhouette. She holds a skull in one hand as her long, luscious curls cascade down her shoulders.

Regine Tolentino

Actress and dancer Regine Tolentino stole the spotlight that evening. With radiant wings and a wand that lights up, her fierce and bold look was simply impossible to miss.

Myx Chanel

RuPaul’s Drag Race Philippines Season 3 queen Myx Chanel proved her resilience and star power after her original designer dropped out just three hours before the event. Despite the setback, she strutted in a stunning black Mara Chua gown.

Jamina Cruz

Internet personality Jamina Cruz flawlessly combined horror and couture with her ghost-inspired ensemble. Wearing a tattered white dress and a veil that adds to the theatrics, she delivered an eerie yet fashionable look.

Hayden Kho

Hayden Kho turned heads in a neutral, desert-toned steampunk outfit reminiscent of Dune. He completed the look with slicked-back hair and a bold, smoky eye.
