Filipino students and teachers can now see the highly anticipated historical film Quezon for a discounted price of P250.

TBA Studios announced the special ticket offer to encourage educators and students to watch the film in theaters.

“The best way to watch Quezon is on the big screen. We are encouraging Filipinos to see and experience it where it is meant to be seen,” Daphne Chiu-Soon, TBA Studios’ President and Chief Operating Officer, said in a media release.

To avail of the discount, they must present a valid school ID at participating cinemas when the film premieres nationwide on Oct. 15.

After its premiere in Philippine theaters, Quezon is set to have an international release scheduled at a later date.

Directed by Jerrold Tarog, Quezon tells the story of President Manuel L. Quezon during the American occupation, highlighting his political struggles, fight for independence, and conflicts with figures such as Leonard Wood, Sergio Osmeña, Joven Hernando, and Emilio Aguinaldo in the 1935 presidential election.

The cast is led by Jericho Rosales as Quezon, with Iain Glen of the hit fantasy series Game of Thrones portraying Leonard Wood.

Benjamin Alves and Mon Confiado reprise their roles as young Quezon and Aguinaldo from the previous two films in TBA Studios’ "Bayaniverse" series, which dramatizes key events in Philippine history.

Other familiar faces include Arron Villaflor as Joven Hernando, Cris Villanueva as the older Joven Hernando, Romnick Sarmenta, JC Santos, and Karylle, with additional cast members Jake Macapagal, Bodjie Pascua, Angeli Bayani, Jojit Lorenzo, Joross Gamboa, Therese Malvar, Ana Abad Santos, Ketchup Eusebio, and Nico Locco.

Chiu-Soon said the film is crafted to deliver “a true cinematic experience,” combining a star-studded cast with “world-class technical and artistic production values.”

Quezon marks the end of TBA Studios’ Bayaniverse trilogy, following 2015’s Heneral Luna, a biopic of General Antonio Luna and the country’s highest-grossing historical film, and 2018’s critically acclaimed Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral, which tells the story of the young revolutionary hero Gregorio del Pilar.

Chiu-Soon stressed that while Quezon concludes the trilogy, it is a standalone film.

Quezon will eventually be available on streaming platforms, although no release date has been set.
