Meghan Markle to make a comeback in upcoming movie with Lily Collins, Brie Larson
Meghan Markle is set to return to acting in the upcoming movie with Lily Collins and Brie Larson.
Variety reported that Markle is making a small cameo in the comedy film, Close Personal Friends, under Amazon MGM Studios.
The Duchess of Sussex was reportedly spotted on set, according to The Sun, as the film is currently shooting around Los Angeles.
Aside from the three actresses, the film also stars Jack Quaid and Henry Golding. Saturday Night Live alums Melissa Villaseñor, as well as Natasia Demetriou, Anna Konkle, Patti Harrison, Jack Shalloo, and Dustin Demri-Burns, will also appear in the film.
The plot is said to follow an ordinary couple who encounter a celebrity pair during a trip to Santa Barbara. As their friendship develops, boundaries are crossed, and things get awkward.
Jason Orley, who also helmed the 2022 film I Want You Back, will serve as the director.
This will be Markle's first acting job since leaving Suits eight years ago and entering the royal life with Prince Harry. In 2020, the royal couple moved to Montecito, California, with their children, Archie, 6, and Lilibet, 4, after stepping back from royal duties.
Apart from Suits, Markle also played roles in films and TV shows like Remember Me, Horrible Bosses, and Dater's Handbook.
She also stars in a Netflix lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan.
