South Korean actor Jung Sung Il, known for his role in Netflix’s hit series The Glory, has confirmed the end of his 9-year marriage.

The divorce was confirmed by Jung’s agency, XYZ Studio, which stated that after careful consideration with his spouse, they mutually decided to end their marriage.

“After a long period of careful deliberation together, Jung Sung Il and his spouse have decided to bring their marriage to a close,” XYZ stated, adding that Jung and his wife, who is a non-celebrity, have ended their marriage amicably with no fault or liability on either side.

The couple settled their separation peacefully and remain committed to co-parenting their child while they continue their lives in separate households.

Jung and his wife first met through a mutual friend when he was in his early 20s and had just been discharged from the army. Although they lived apart, the couple maintained their relationship for nearly three years, Jung shared during the Your Quiz on the Block segment on TVN in February 2023.

Jung is best recognized for his portrayal of Ha Do-Yeong, the devoted but conflicted husband, in the thriller drama, The Glory.

Beyond that, his filmography includes the 2025 movie Unmasked, popular K-dramas such as When Flower Blooms and Bad and Crazy, and the Disney+ original series, Made in Korea.
