Bodybuilding influencer dies at 31

A bodybuilding influencer died just a few months after he proposed to his girlfriend. He was 31. 

Ricardo dos Santos, better known as Kadu Santos, from Brazil passed away on Oct. 20.

"The saddest day of my life. My beloved son," his father said as he announced Santos' death on Instagram and shared details of his wake.

The cause of his death was not specified.

His passing came just a few months after he proposed to the love of his life, Sabrina Wollmann.

The athlete popped the question to Wollmann on stage during a bodybuilding event in July. "I love you with all my heart, I admire you and I'm very proud of who we've become together over the years," she said in her engagement announcement on IG. "Thank you for making me be the best version of myself always. I choose you every day to share this crazy life with!"

Santos was an 11-time bodybuilding champion. He enjoyed posting about his personal life and fitness journey on Instagram, where he has more than 13,000 followers.
