LOOK: Seiko launches three limited edition watches inspired by Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao
Marking a first in its Philippine-exclusive series, Seiko is letting you wander through the country’s main islands—Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao—through not one but three special edition watches.
Launching on Oct. 29, the watch brand’s 6th Philippine Limited Edition profoundly intersects adventure with wristwear, with each one showcasing a feature that the three major islands have been known and loved for through the years. Apart from the country's gems, the fresh drops also put the spotlight on the many activities that keep them alive and busy.
The warm cobblestones of Calle Crisologo in Vigan, one of the most iconic heritage streets in the country, served as a rich source of inspiration for the watch face of its Luzon timepiece.
The Visayas watch face, meanwhile, is able to hold attention and interest beyond its essential function through its charming illustration of Chocolate Hills in Bohol.
Adding vibrance to time-telling is its Mindanao timepiece that puts the focus on the lovely coastline of Zamboanga and its striking vintas.
Seiko's 6th Philippine Limited Edition remixes the Seiko 5 Sports watch—a welcome change from the Seiko Prospex featured in its previous releases under the PH-exclusive series. It’s designed for sports enthusiasts and modern adventurers who value durability, style, and precision as it's complete with enhanced water resistance, a strengthened crystal, and luminous hands and hour markers for easy readability even in dark places.
Built with automatic movement, the new releases are equipped with a day/date display, a stop-second function, and a power reserve of approximately 41 hours.
Priced at P30,000, only 1,000 units per design will be available on the market. You can get your hands on it online as well as Seiko boutiques and authorized dealers nationwide.
Seiko has been introducing watches exclusively available in the Philippines every year since 2020, with themes that capture the dynamic relationship between the Japanese brand and its Filipino customers. Its previous editions were inspired by the Tubbataha Reefs, the Philippine eagle, among others.
