Here's how to avail of Max's Restaurant P5 half spring fried chicken on Oct. 18
If you’ve ever seen those old menu displays on the walls of Max’s Restaurant and noticed the cheap prices back in the day, here's your chance to experience them.
To celebrate its 80th anniversary, Max's is offering its famous Half Spring Fried Chicken for the original 1945 price of just P5.
"For one day only, we’re bringing back the original 1945 price—a celebration of family, tradition, and a sense of nostalgia shared across generations," they wrote on social media.
On Oct. 18, each customer is entitled to purchase one Half Spring Fried Chicken at P5 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Max’s Scout Tuazon branch in Quezon City.
Each order comes with a dinner roll or plain rice as accompaniment, as well as a glass of either Pepsi, iced tea, or Sagot Gulaman.
The promo is valid for dine-in customers only; it cannot be applied to takeout, delivery, bulk orders, or function and events.
For this offer, payment must be made in cash, using a P5 coin denomination or any P5 coin. Digital payments, gift certificates, credit, or debit cards will not be accepted.
Also note that the promo cannot be combined with any other discounts or privileges, including those for Senior Citizens and PWDs.
Max's Restaurant was founded by Maximo Gimenez, a teacher, in 1945, following World War II. Gimenez, who was friends with American soldiers stationed in Quezon City at that time, opened a cafe for them to enjoy. His niece, Ruby, managed the kitchen and created the now-famous fried chicken recipe, which became an instant hit for the soldiers and many Filipinos.
Now, there are over 170 branches in the country, and numerous locations in the USA and Canada.
