TRENDING: Kween Yasmin takes the internet by storm with her viral font
If you’ve been scrolling through your feed lately, chances are you’ve seen brands posting art cards featuring the human alphabet. It's just Kween Yasmin winning the internet again; this time, with her viral font.
The social media personality, whose real name is Yasmin Marie Asistido, is viral on social media with her latest collab with graphic design platform Canva for the “All-Purpose" font.
Several brands like Cebu Pacific, BPI, McDonald's, and Angkas have hopped on the trend.
Sen. Bam Aquino also joined in the fun, spelling out the message, "Edukasyon hindi korapsyon."
If you're a Canva Pro user, it's under Canva’s “Ey-setts", which you can use for advertisements, branding, social media posts, and more. It features photo libraries, including the "Kween of Signs," where Kween Yasmin holds blank banners you can put text on; photos for (wet) marketing, "fashown," food content, or at home.
There's also the “Kweemojis” and the “All-Purpose" fonts for big and small letters, numbers, and punctuation.
"I didn't expect it na nag-message or nag-reach out na ako yung pipiliin nila na maging endorsement partnership nila," she told PhilSTAR L!fe., adding that she was tapped by the brand and began working on the project in mid-November
While Kween Yasmin admitted that attempting the poses for the first time was challenging, she found the experience enjoyable. She also shared that practicing yoga for the project helped her form the letters more effectively.
Following the success of the project, the social media personality said she didn’t expect it to go viral or reach audiences on foreign social media platforms.
"Hindi ko in-expect na pagising ko, kinabukasan, saan saan na pong panig na papadpad...mga iba't ibang pages sa mga iba't ibang governor na. Tapos may na-reach out din kanina na napadpad din sa mga Korean and Chinese na page," she shared.
"Tapos ginamit din yung article ng Canva page na Kween Sans na alphabetical order. So, very super nice," she added.
When asked about which of the letters was her favorite, she answered, "A."
"Kasi para[ng] sign sya na kahit ano mang mangyari, na kahit ano mang strategy, kahit ano mang hirap na ating dinaranas, tuloy-tuloy man tayo, kahit na madapa ka man, babangon at babangon ka, kahit ano mang hirap na dinaranas niya," she explained.
Kween Yasmin went viral for several different reasons, including her iconic peace sign photo, the "Esophagus, esophagus" spoken word poem, and her singing. Despite her internet success, she always makes sure to stay humble.
"Sit down, be humble pa rin always. Huwag na huwag kang makakalimut kung saan ka nagsimula at nanggaling. Kung ano man yung narating niya, be thankful kung ano man, kahit sa maliit o malaking bagay man na narating niya," she said.
Looking back, she couldn't be more grateful to her supporters.
"Sa lahat po ng mga supporters ko po dyan, all nationwide, thank you po for supporting us to me, ups and down. Hindi niyo po ko iniwan sa ere na lagi po kayong nakasubaybay sa lahat ng mga adventures, lahat na mga nararating ko ng mga achievements," she said.
"Kung hindi dahil sa inyo, wala po ako dito sa kinatatayuan na meron ako ngayon. Maraming salamat po," she concluded.
