Got Valentine's Day plans? Moonlit Symphonies at Masungi Georeserve returns in February

Valentine’s Day usually means overstimulated crowds and hours stuck in traffic. If you’re looking to skip the malls without just settling for another night on the couch, there’s a much better way to celebrate this year.

Moonlit Symphonies at Masungi Georeserve is an intimate, four-hour immersion in Rizal that gives you a rare chance to see—and actually listen to—nature through a different lens.

The night is divided into three stages that move you through the trails. You’ll start with a sunset view of the city, listening to an intimate trio playing everything from contemporary hits to classic pieces.

As it gets darker, guests will then head to a pine patch for a communal dinner and end the night with a bit of quiet time.

The dinner is co-curated by Trining’s Kitchen Stories, whose cooking is deeply inspired by memories of home and Filipino culinary nostalgia. It is inspired by the rich food culture of the Rizal–Quezon–Laguna corridor, offering a menu that feels familiar.

While the menu depends on the chef's creative direction, guests can expect sophisticated regional flavors similar to past highlights, such as blackened tofu skewers, kesong puti and tomato confit toast, or shrimp bisque with grilled pineapple. Main courses often feature traditional staples reimagined, like grilled chicken inasal with dayap and tanglad or salt-baked dapa, ending with desserts like cassava cake with salted-egg crumble or banana fritters with black rice cream.

Guests can choose from six dates:

  • Jan. 31, Saturday
  • Feb. 1, Sunday
  • Feb. 14, Saturday
  • Feb. 17, Tuesday
  • Feb. 21, Saturday
  • Feb. 28, Saturday

The experience runs from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at P4,800 per guest, inclusive of a full meal and the evening's performances.

All the proceeds go straight to Masungi’s reforestation and conservation work, so you’re having a great time while literally helping save the forest.

To participate, register via this link at least four days before the visit date, but Masungi Georeserve noted that they will receive a separate approval message. If you haven't received an email within 24 hours, send an email to advocacy@masungigeoreserve.com. Also take note that registrations with incomplete companion information will not be considered.

Guests are also encouraged to arrive via private vehicle to ensure a smooth experience, as no public transportation will be available in the area.
