Cha Eun Woo to enlist in the military this July

The military enlistment date for Korean star Cha Eun Woo has been officially announced.

His agency, Fantagio, announced on May 29 that the ASTRO member had officially been accepted after applying for the Army Military Band.

In a statement, Fantagio said that Eun Woo has received his "final acceptance notice from the Military Manpower Administration" and will enter the training camp on July 28. He will undergo basic military training before fulfilling his duty in the Army Military Band.

They stated that the exact time and location "will be kept private" to avoid crowds and potential accidents.

"To prevent safety accidents due to congestion on the day of enlistment, the location and time of Cha Eun Woo’s enlistment will be kept private, and there will be no separate events held," they noted.

"We ask for your unsparing support and warm encouragement for Cha Eun Woo as he diligently fulfills his military duty and returns in good health. Thank you," the statement ended.

For the remaining months before his enlistment, Eun Woo is currently busy filming his Netflix original series, The Wonder Fools. He is also set to join ASTRO's 4th solo concert titled "The 4th ASTROAD [Stargraphy]" at the Inspire Arena in Incheon from June 7-8.

Eun Woo first charmed the hearts of Hallyu lovers as a member of the boy group ASTRO which debuted in 2016. Apart from being a K-pop idol, he is known for starring in dramas such as True Beauty, Island, Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung, Gangnam Beauty, and A Good Day to Be a Dog.
