Issy is giving away free blush inserts. Here's how to get one
We all love a good freebie, especially when it's full-sized! Guess what? Local beauty brand Issy is giving away 100,000 of its unreleased Pressed Velvet Inserts for free.
According to the brand, the new product was set to be launched, complete with its campaign materials and press kits. But when they received the final products, "they just cracked, they just crumbled."
"Product development isn't just about picking a shade or texture. It's months of trials, tests, and waiting. We did all that We loved this formula," the brand wrote on Instagram. "But outside the lab, the formula didn't behave the same way. The blush shran, cracked, and broke inside its pan—not because it wasn't good, but because its packaging couldn't protect it."
Sylvina Lopez, Issy's creative makeup visionary, said that it's not right to give products to people in their "best state."
"It's not nice to give people a product that you aren't confident it's going to get to them in its best state," she said.
So as not to put the products to waste, co-founder and creative director Joel Andrade said they're giving them away for free.
"The goal was to get them on your cheeks, so that's what we're going to do. We're gonna give them away. Totally for free—no hidden costs," he said.
To get one, purchase any Issy item in select locations: One Ayala, Alabang Town Center, Greenhills Mall, Ayala Malls Vertis North, SM Megamall, Uptown Mall, Ayala Malls Fairview Terraces, UP Town Center, Market! Market!, SM Dasmariñas, Festival Mall, SM Fairview, SM Clark, and SM Telabastagan.
No minimum spend is required to claim your free Pressed Velvet Inserts. The limit is one per customer.
The items are not for sale, return, or exchange. The shades are also already pre-packed and distributed at random.
Issy recommends that you depot the inserts into a clean container or palette before using them.
