WanderManila is holding a walking tour on the dark history of Intramuros this January
Are you ready for a spooky stroll in Manila's Walled City?
Halloween came early this 2026, as experiential touring group WanderManila is staging its "One Night in Intramuros" public tours this January.
While their first walking tour for Jan. 17 is fully booked, the company opened a second event for Saturday, Jan. 24, 5 p.m.
"One Night in Intramuros" will give you a glimpse of the Manila landmark like you've never seen it before: in a darker, more sinister light.
According to WanderManila, the tour will include violent stories that shaped the history of Intramuros, giving you a deeper understanding of the trauma and horrors that defined Manila. It's not exactly a ghost-hunting tour, but the group will be sharing and debunking ghost stories.
The tour is expected to take three hours and about 7,000 steps. Bringing children and pets is allowed, but WanderManila notes that they may not be able to finish the whole thing. Those who leave the tour to attend to their children or pets will not be refunded.
In case of rain, the tour will push through, and participants are encouraged to being umbrella and rain gear.
This will be the last "One Night in Intramuros" this January, but you can stay tuned to WanderManila's social media pages for when the February tour will take place.
Want to join the spooky experience? You can book a slot for P800 through the registration link here.
If you're not looking for a hair-raising visit, the Intramuros Administration is also offering free walking tours of Fort Santiago and Casa Manila every weekend at 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
