Zeinab Harake and Bobby Ray Parks Jr. set the record straight on rumors that their wedding cost P20 million and explained why the guests were spotted eating from paper plates after the ceremony.

In an interview on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, the content creator shared that they feel blessed to have been supported by their ninong who took care of the venue and design of their wedding.

While she didn't disclose the amount they actually spent for their big day, she emphasized that the cost rumors circulating on social media were exaggerated.

"OA kasi, masyado nilang pinapalaki. Even the cake, naging P2 million na, hindi naman talaga—and hindi po umabot ng P20 million 'yung wedding namin," she said.

"Blessed din po kami sa aming location and design because of our ninong and the rest po kami na po 'yun, kasi we want to honor him lang," she continued.

Parks also shared his reaction to the rumors. "To be honest, na-humble po ako and bless at the same time kasi po, ganun po pala kataas 'yung tingin nila sa amin," he said. "Pero 'yun nga po, hindi naman po gumastos ng P20 million po pero blessed kami na napresent namin 'yung elegance and 'yung wedding na ganun, tsaka standards."

Harake also explained why their guests, including principal sponsors Toni Gonzaga and Paul Soriano, were seen eating from paper plates after their wedding ceremony. (Some social media users said it ruined the overall vibe of the grand affair.)

According to her, the paper plates were for finger food that guests enjoyed at the cocktail area.

"Kaya may paper plates dahil sa cocktail area, may pika-pika kasi dun after the ceremony before the fireworks, para hindi naiinip 'yung aming mga bisita at magutom, nag-ready kami ng pika pika. Hindi siya 'yung sa reception," she explained.

Harake and Parks officially tied the knot in a dreamy ceremony held at Crystal Palace of Aquila in the Sky, Tagaytay City on June 1.

It came nearly a year after Parks proposed to her in July 2024. Harake also surprised Parks with her own proposal in Japan two months after.

The couple went public with their relationship in 2023 and now co-parent Harake's daughter, Bia, from her previous relationship with rapper Skusta Clee, along with her adopted son, Lucas.
