Looking to upgrade your luggage for your upcoming trip but don't want to spend too much? You can hit two birds with one stone with this deal: Trade in your worn-out suitcase and get a discount on a new one.

The Travel Club has brought back its "Trade-In for a Cause Sale" this September, where customers can donate pre-loved luggage or bags and upgrade to a brand-new one with up to 40% off on featured collections.

The old luggage will be given to a first-time overseas Filipino worker who is about to embark on a new journey abroad and needs reliable travel gear.

To join in the promo, the luggage that you'll trade in must still be "usable and in good condition." You can donate two or four-wheel luggage or bags such as a business case, laptop bag, messenger, duffle, backpack, or shoulder bag.

Minor issues like missing or broken handles, sticky trolley handles, missing wheel rubber (but not the wheels themselves), dents in the hard case, or even a missing zipper puller are acceptable.

Luggage that will not be accepted includes those with broken, missing, or stuck trolley systems; missing wheels; cracked or broken hard cases; broken rubber protectors or hinges; damaged zipper coils or sliders; missing or defective locks; and grocery trolleys.

Each item equals one sale number tag, which qualifies you for one discount.

Donating luggage accounts for a 40% discount, while bags will only get you a 30%.

After you've received your sale number tag, present it to the cashier to settle your payment.

The trade-in sale is taking place until Sept. 14 only at Travel Club's branches in Alabang Town Center, Ayala Malls Manila Bay, Lucky Chinatown, and Estancia Mall.
