La'tayvia Deshay Ransom, who became known as Tayta Games on YouTube, has died just a few days before her birthday. She was 21.

Her father, Elton Dirt Ransom, confirmed her death in a social media post earlier this week.

According to him, the social media personality's colon cancer got worse and spread to her liver before she died. She "would have made 22 years old in 9 days," he said.

"I've been doing days at the hospital for the past week, praying for the best. Talking to her made me so optimistic," he opened up. "Damn, I just can't believe I lost my child."

Tayta Games' brother mourned her death in an Instagram post.

"Once I astral project, [we're gonna] travel dimensions together," he said, calling his late sister the "sweetest" and "funniest" person. He added, "I'll be seeing you soon, my immortal warrior."

Tayta Games garnered more than a million followers on her social media pages, including Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.

Per PEOPLE Magazine, she became famous for her amusing reactions to video games, which included Minecraft and Dress to Impress.

Before her passing, she was consistent in updating her supporters about her battle with colon cancer, which she was diagnosed with last year.
