KATSEYE's Megan comes out as bisexual
Megan Skiendiel of KATSEYE just shared she identifies as bisexual.
The idol came out during her Weverse livestream alongside co-member Lara Raj. While getting ready, Megan greeted the latter with "Happy Pride Month."
“Aw, thank you, Megan, you too!” Lara replied, seemingly encouraging Megan to come out, saying, “Just do it.”
Megan later told the viewers, “Guys, I'm coming out. I'm bisexual.” The two later cheered and jumped in place, celebrating the moment.
"It was okay? Oh my god, wait, I was like scared now," she quipped. She added, "Guys, I came out on Pride month!"
Megan is the second member of KATSEYE to come out as queer, following Lara.
“I knew I was half fruitcake when I was like 8, so I really was wanting everybody. Honestly, [probably] before 8,” Lara said on Weverse in March.
Megan debuted in the global girl group KATSEYE formed from the audition program The Debut: Dream Academy under South Korea’s HYBE Labels. Her co-members include Filipino member Sophia Laforteza, Lara and Daniela Avanzini from the USA, Manon Bannerman from Switzerland, and Jeung Yoonchae from South Korea.
Their hit songs include Debut, Touch, and the recently released Gnarly. They are set to release an EP Beautiful Chaos, on June 27.
KATSEYE first visited the Philippines in September last year for a fan showcase.
